Any inputs on this is really appreciated.

I had the same message.  Nothing was wrong with the range I was trying to copy from one fiscal year to another.  But another range I had not touched had duplicate entries (we had done a client copy).  When I corrected the number range with duplicates, I was able to copy the number range I wanted.  Apparently when Save is selected for the number range you are saving, it checks the whole table before saving.

Hi Rohit,

Please check the Existing number range in the table where you click Insert Number Range. This number range has been already created. You can check this in table listed below.

To see the available number ranges, please click on drop down menu From and To columns. You can create a number range from the available number range to avoid this issue.

Or, check the existing number ranges... If this is a training server, sometimes what happens is, the entire number range would have been taken by someone else. Pl check the existing number ranges..

Thanks.

Hi Rohit,

Go to table NRIV

Give the Object name as: RF_BELEG

Subobject value : Your Co. code Value

To Year: Year for which you are trying to maintain the number range.

Here it will be easy for you to identify the numberrange which is overlapping the number range you are trying to maintain (By sorting on To Number e.g.).

Hi Rohit,

Your number range is:

61 2010      0061000001 (10 digits)       0069999999 (10 digits)

Try entering the number range for the current year with:

006100001 (9 digits) or 00061000001 (11 digits).

Hi Rohit,

The answer to your issue is simple and straight.

The number range you are maintaining is also being used in the other number range for the same year 2013 (i.e. a number or number range of this number range 61 is also used in other number range- .e.g. you are using 0061000001  to    0069999999. There might be a number range from 0000000001 -0079999999)

When you get the error message, just scroll down to see the other number ranges which might be overlapping. Normally such overlapping number ranges are highlighted so that they can be easily identified.

Hi Rohit,

Kindly change fiscal in T-Code FBN1. You can use it by changing fiscal year only.

61    2010    0061000001    0069999999

61    2013    0061000001    0069999999

I hope this will help you.

Dear Rohit,

Please Check the number From Number to Number For Number range 61.Because that number range you assigned under 61 is already used.

Hi Rohit,

Try entering the number range 1 digit short of the actual one (eg: if actual number range is 0100000000, put only 010000000) and enter.. Then correct it in the list of entries.

Regards

P.S: I believe there are several posts pertaining to this. I hope you did a search!

I want to maintain for the Fiscal year 2013 with the same interval. I am getting the Error like intervals overlap...

Hi Rohit,

Your problem is due to overlapping of the numbers with some other number range, which has been already maintained.

You want to maintain as below

61    2010  0061000001      0069999999

However the above number range is already used for some other number range.

For example:

If i want to maintain number range 02   2013   1000    1999

it will show the error message overlapping if i try to update as above

because already some number range is maintained as below. in 0001 to 2000 already 1000 to 1999 is maintained.

01     2013   0001     2000

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you still have doubt on this.

Hi Rohit,

I guess this range(006100001      006999999) is being used for other number range in 2013. Please check once.

You can also copy number range from fiscal year 2010 to 2013 through T-code OBH2 if the same interval already exist in 2010 for 61
