EAM Role based approach for CRM

Hi All,

We want to implement Emergency Access Management for CRM system. Users will access front end portal to perform their activities.

In this case we can only go for Role based firefighting.

So if i assign a FF role to my CRM user and he performs certain activites, how are logs collected ?

How is the review workflow job triggered?

I got this doubt because users access everything on CRM portal but not in backend.

Please provide your valuable inputs.

P.S: Happy Valentines day everyone 😊

Regards,

Sai.

Portal gets information by communicating to the GRC abap system and target (ECC) system. so whenever t code is activated logs are recorded.

workflow will be triggered. All activity done by using FF is will be recorded

    Hi Padmavathi

Are you choosing role-based because it is CRM system or that happens to be the approach you are taking?

When you say portal do you mean the users are have CRM screens in portal (i.e. webydynpro)? If so, they are actually using CRM so their actions will be recorded. However, will not see transaction executed in the log.

FF log collection works the same way across teh sysetms.

    • Hi

Currently GRC system was down so couldn't test it out.

The test is all within the CRM system. If CRM logs do not collect the data then GRC will not get it either

But in configuration settings of GRC, i can have only one of them not both

That is an issue since configuration parameters and Access Control Owners is setup in GRC.

I asked why role based for CRM. As webdynpros can be launched directly have you attempted to configure trusted RFC so you can publish the webdynpros as shortcut/links in FF User Menu/Favourites and allow them to use User Based FF to launch CRM screens in broswer? I haven't tested this outmyself but with trusted system (basis configuration) they should not receive pop-up screen for password.

If that works, you can then have User based for both

      Regards
