How to find the SP#?

Hi Friends !

I am using the SAP HANA Studio version 1.0.68. How to know which SP# we are using?

Hello Rekha,

you should have sufficient admin privilege to  check. if you have try this -

on HANA Studio - > help -> about .

you will get a row "version"  which would read like 1.00.<no>

depending on <no>  & from below ,  you need to figure out which is you SP level

before rev 41 , SP03

Rev 41 is the last Rev for SP04

Rev 45-58  its SP05

Rev 60 -66  its SP6

OR easy go .. go to SAP level -- system -status and under database status, you can see "release "

1.00.<no>.<6 digit no>

here <no> will help you to get SP level.

hmm...

Just a word of caution, Help -> about in Studio will provide the "Studio revision", which may not necessarily be the HANA database revision. You can use earlier version of studio with later revision of the HANA studio. Although this is not recommended, it is still possible.

And going to SAP may not be an option if you are using Standalone HANA without SAP component on top of the database.

Dear Rekha,

even though the thread is answered, it will probably be reasked again with SP08 when people wonder what version 1.00.80.xxx of the database is meaning. And the statements where the versions are matched to SP Version will not be applicable to newer release.

The best I know for the HANA database is: Version: 1.00.<no>.<6 digit no>. Search for SAP notes with the keywords "SAP HANA Database revision <no>", for instance "SAP HANA Database revision 70", the note 1944771 - SAP HANA SPS 07 Database Revision 70 is found. This gives the SP number.

I hope SAP will sometimes make a central note that answer this question or add SPXX in the version information of HANA Database and HANA Studio.

Hi Rekha,

R-Click on your system and select Administration and then in Overview tab in General Information, YOU can see HANA DB Version

Ver 70 and above is HANA SP7 while Ver 60 to 69.1 is HANA SP6
