easyDMS 7.1 and Windows 8.1

We will upgrade our desktops to Windows 8.1. Will easyDMS 7.1 run ok on that?

Hello Katarina,

we have also very very much trubble with Win8.1 und EasyDMS.

I have installed now the brand new version 7.1.6.0.

Dropbox - WIN-10_EasyDMS71SP06_0-20006126.zip

it is a little bit better.

I get crashes permanently during massuploads.

Hi Katarina,

according to SAP note  1787736 EasyDMS 7.1 should support Windows 8 as well. Please read this note and also the mentioned restriction note for further information.

Hi Christoph,

We had no problem with SAP EasyDMS 7.1.4.8 on Windows 8 installation. But our IT department said that Microsoft will support Windows 8 only on security updates and we should upgrade immediately to Windows 8.1 at no cost. We upgraded some system allready and I tried to install EasyDMS. When I try to logon to SAP the windows explorer crasched:

"...Microsoft Visual C + + Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe

This application has Requested the Runtime to terminate it in unusual way. Please

contact the application's support team for more information..."

I google this problem but found nothing. I can not believe that I am the only one having this problem in the whole SAP world. Please prove me wrong...

Hello Katarina,

did you install easyDMS 7.1 on Windows 8.1 already? At our company there are problems with Windows 8.1 and EasyDms 7.1.4.0 and 7.1.4.8. I find this a day ago so I am google the problem for two days and after that I will open an OSS ticket at SAP.
