Hello,
During the analyses of the Early Watch Alert report, I see in point 4.3 Hardware Utilization Data an information that one of the hosts (the DB host) of our distributed SAP systems was not detected, it mention that OS not detected and the report recommends to check the sap note 1309499 (Hardware Capacity Analysis in SAP Services) why the OS not detected:
I read that sap note but I still don´t understand why this happen... I don´t know if this is related with SAP Host Agent or not, as I said above, this is a distributed SAP system where the SAP instance and DB host are installed in different hosts! But only in DB host the EWAlert refers that OS was not detected! My questions are, how can I overcome this issue? It is related with SAP HostAgent that I guess is not installed in DB host?! It´s necessary to install the SAP HostAgent in all hosts, also in DB host? If so, this issue will be fixed?
kind regards,
samid raif
Hi,
Yes, you need to have saphostagent installed on all machines (in distributed environment).
