Wrong Deduction(Sec 80 C) shows in Form 16

Dear Experts,

    I got a new issue, that the value maintained in the Infotype 0586 "Repayment of Housing loan" Invs Code 14, is showing different value in Form 16.

   The value maintained in IT0586(80 C Ded) for the Employee under "Repayment of Housing loan" is 13050/-, but the value shows in the Form 16 is 26100/- .

Any Inputs will be highly appreciated.

ok,

then delete the entry in the IT 0586 and re run the payroll with log and see what the value is coming and post those screen shots. check the input, processing, output for the same. we can find some thing may be. one more thing have you given any details regarding previous employer details and values ?

Dear Praneeth,

    No values maintained in Previous Employement tax details infotype.

Find below the screen shots by deleting the value in IT0586 as you said.

But the Value 13050/- showing in RT Table:

In Table S88 it shows same 13050/-

Same Showing in Form 16 as well.

I have also tried with other employee. Payroll Log and Form 16 value shows right value for that emp. whereas there was no such wage type(/3OP) shown in RT table for that emp.

Please suggest.

What Could be the Difference?

Hi praveen,

It seems to be every thing is fine, but still amount is coming.

in IT 0584 - loan type is 9001 and sequence no. 01 is there in your screen shot. is there any housing loan from the employer ? please check in IT 0045 and IT 0078. if it is there also std wage types for loans start with /L**. check the report from April, 2013 on wards in PC00_M40_ANN.

   As u said ,there are Some Loan Types maintained in the IT0045. and also the value 13050/- shows in the T-Code PC00_M40_ANN. Can you please explain the concept and where could be the error.

Praveen,

check IT 0078 loan repayments, do payroll for feb and march also and see the report it is appearing or not ? if it is coming and you want to give tax exemption for this amount you have to maintain IT 0584 with loan type, sequence and amounts, etc... test in testing server not in production.

see when loan is given to the employee, we will arrange the payment options according to the company policy. first deduct only interest after that principle amount (or) deduct equal installments both interest and principle...... etc....

Dear Patel,

      Thanks for your reply. For testing, I have changed the Value in to 1000/- in IT0586 and ran the payroll. Now the Form 16 is showing 14050 instead of 1000/-. In payroll log it shows 1000/- , whereas in PC_payresult , the RT table it shows 13050/- against the wage type /3op. and the table S88 it shows 14050/- against the Invst Code 14(Housing Loan Principle Repayment)

Please throw some inputs on this......

Do one thing delete the IT 0586 and again create the investments and test it.

Hi ,

Do raise to SAP as this is a standard form and i hope there are lot of notes released for the Form 16 corrections by SAP ask your Basis guy to check for the system level and also doc check in service marketplace.
