I want to create an InfoObject using the reference characteristic 0CAT_GROUP.
When I do so, the compounding from the reference characteristic is pulled in as expected. However, it cannot be changed there, it must be changed in the reference characteristic.
Can anybody, therefore, explain how the InfoObject 0CRM_RSN_GR which also has the reference characteristic 0CAT_GROUP has a different superior InfoObject to the reference characteristic?
I certainly did!
My compounding tab is not available for input.
Maybe a security problem?

The compounding characteristic of 0CRM_RSN_GR is 0CRM_RSN_TY, not 0CAT_TYPE, which is what is happening to me when I create my characteristic.
I am trying to find out how 0CRM_RSN_GR has a compounding characteristic of 0CRM_RSN_TY (and not 0CAT_TYPE)?
You say that I can change this, but the field is not available for entry. How do I change it?

Hi,
That is because 0CRM_RSN_TY is also a reference to 0CAT_TYPE, so indeed the compounding InfoObject has the same master data as on 0CAT_GROUP, so they are the same.

Hi Stuart,
you can change the compounded characteristics that are pulled in when you create a new InfoObject with reference. The only condition is that the new compounded object is also referenced to the same higher level item.
You can check that the superior InfoObject of 0CRM_RSN_GR is referenced to 0CAT_TYPE, which is the superior InfoObject of 0CAT_GROUP. You can do the same in your new InfoObject.
Regards
Stephan
