I recently upgraded a customers web servers from Boxi 3.1 SP 3 to SP 6 fp 1. (184.108.40.2061 to 220.127.116.111).
Since upgrade there have been intermittent problems with the Web Intelligence.
For example they cannot open reports in PDF format or Excel 2007 (interactive works though).
The errors they are getting are:
1. An internal error occurred while calling 'get blob' API. (error: ERR_WIS_30270) (error:INF)
2. Maximum binary output size limit reached. Contact your business objects administrator.
Now I have a feeling the properties the Web Intelligence processing server have been reset back to default after upgrade. Comparing this Boxi service to another Boxi service still on SP 3 by the same customer I can see that:
Maximum Binary stream size value is set a lot higher and Maximum character stream size value is a lot higher on the SP 3 service.
Unfortunately the snapshots of the 6.1 service have been deleted so I cant check what the initial Intelligence properties were set too before the upgrade.
I would like match the values of the 3.1 service to see if it fixes the problem however the customer want me to be sure this would not harm the service hence I am posting on here for confirmation that changing these values could fix the above errors.
