New Maintenance Item Scheduling

I want to add a new maintenance item to an existing maintenance plan that has items on it already. It's a monthly plan that has already called. How do I get this new item that I have just added to call like the others have aleady without affecting the scheduling? Since the others have already called for this month, is it possible to have an order kick out for this new item?

The answer is: No. The maintenance call for Orders that are already created had a status "Called" at the item level. So if you had e.g. 2 Items and they have been converted into 2 Work Orders this month, and you now add a 3rd Item, no new Order will be generated for this month. However, you will get 3 Work Orders the next time the call is due.

N.B. Is this a Single Cycle plan? It may be a bit more involved with Strategy based plans, since by adding new Items you might very well add new relevant Packages to the schedule, and you might also need to consider that the new item will start in the cycle as well.

    Thanks for the response Sebastian!

It is a Strategy Plan. So, if I were to drop in a manual call or reschedule the plan, it would be for all the maintenance items on the plan, right?

My thought was to kick out and order for this item for this month even with the other items calling an order for this month already. Oh, well, I will just wait for next month. Thanks again!

You can close the work order giving remarks and then

If the current scheduling has no change in dates then it will be better to manual call.

also you can reschedule the Maintenance call so that the all work orders will be created for the new call.

l will prefer to go with manual call..

    HI AA,

Please check Mark the indicator Without under Maintenance Items Assignments for first maintenance item, I think it should be without maintenance item assignment from maintenance plan and during scheduling peoces this item would not be considered.

Therefore check this because currently i have no SAP logon system.
