How should I go to get to WAS 6.40

Hi All

I am pretty new to this forum. The problem I encountered was quite wired as far as I'm concerned. Here it goes:

I just finished an WAS 6.40 ABAP + Java Add-in installation (I hoped so). From SAPGUI, I saw the kernel was 640.

But from SPAM, SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS were all 620.

Here is the list of CD/DVDs to make the installation:

Oracle92_NT_51030122_1

Oracle92_NT_51030122_2

Oracle92_NT_51030122_3

Oracle92_92041_51030122_4

47200_SR1_Master_Oracle_51030437

Kernel_640_U_ORACLE_51030474

Export_1_51030427_1

Export_2_51030427_2

Export_3_51030427_3

Export_4_51030427_4

Export_5_51030431_1

Export_6_51030431_2

Export_7_51030431_3

Export_8_51030431_4

Master_NW04_SR1_Installation_Win_51031148

SAP_NW04_SR1_IGS_5103724_1

SAP_NW04_SR1_J2EE_Engine_51030724_2

SAP_NW04_SR1_J2EE_Engine_SCS_51030724_3

For WAS640 ABAP installation, I started the sapinst.exe from 47200_SR1_Master_Oracle_51030437, later I found this installer did not have J2EE Add-in entry, then I realized maybe it's not the right one.

So I had to use Master_NW04_SR1_Installation_Win_51031148 to finish the J2EE add-in installation. The whole installation seemed ok, I could log onto J2EE Engine to run some samples.

Since what I really need is a WAS 6.40 system, my question is that how I can go from this "mixed" installation?

Should I go with the update process? Hom complicated with that?

From other post I saw SAP_Netweaver_SR1_Installation_Export_51030721 was mensioned to be used as WAS 6.40 installation. I checked the content insides, it's about EXPORT.

If I start a new installation, is it ok just to use this EXPORT, instead of the exports 1~8 I used?

Thanks in advance for any response.

Regards

Xueqing
