Inspection for a Stock Transfer

Hi,

I've creates an inspection lot automatically for a stock transfer with the following:

• In Customizing for Inspection Lot Creation (Inspection for a Goods Movement) QM is active for the movement type.

• QM is active for the material. This means that in the inspection settings of the material master:

• An inspection type is active for inspection lot origin 08 (stock transfer)
• The indicator to post the goods to inspection stock is set

But the inspection lot give my this error:

''Characteristic results cannot be recorded for inspection lot 080000000002"

Kindly advice.

Ahmed,

You also need to create a task list. In that task list, you need to assign inspection characteristics (MICs) against which you would enter the results.

Or, material specification is to be used to record the results. In material master, where you activated inspection type, against it, you would need to set indicator either for Insp wet task list or Insp wrt mat spec.

You haven't done this and that's why you are getting error.

I've created a task list and assign inspection characteristics (MICs) to for that material. But I need to know which usage should I choose.

Basically, it depends on what you have defined in Customizing. If you do not know, try with 3. 3 is for universal.

Else, use 5. I don't have system in front but 5 is for GR I guess.

Ok. You need to check this. If inspection lot was generated before task list creation, then you also need to assign task manually.

Select inspection lot in QA32, click on inspection lot tab, there click on middle tab, in that click on task list/spec, then sample and save.

to know the usage then go to

SPRO-->IMG--> QM-->Quality Inspection--> Inspection lot creation--> Maintain inspection types

Here select your inspection type what you assigned to material then in details you find the usage.

If task list is created for this material and MICs are also assigned then I want you to please paste a screenshot of material master and inspection plan header each.

I don't have system right now and using my cellphone so I need them. Your problem is very simple and can be solved easily.

Hi

To assign the task list to your current inspection lot go to QA32 and select the inspection lot and click on change icon.In the inspection specification tab click on task list/spec icon.

Change the key date to today and usage to 5 and then repeat.

Please check the validity period of your inspection plan. The inspection plan validity date should be before inspection lot. Else change the key date of inspection lot to inspection plan valid date in change and then try to assign the task list.
