Processind dimension fails with message(you cannot save this workbook with the same name)

     Hi

I have this use who keeps getting this error message.

"You cannot save this workbook with the same name as another workbook or add-in.Choose a different name ,or close the other workbook or add-in before saving.

What he is trying to do is update and process a dimension.This message pops up everytime he presses on "PROCESS DIMENSION"

To avoid this,how can one get rid of sir.Could it simply be resolved by closing all other un0named exel files o reven names exvel fuileds.\

Hi Dludlu.

We usually get the same error message when trying to save changes in dimensions and at the same time the user is logged into BPC for Excel.

Try logging off from the Excel client before saving the dimension changes and it will work.

I know it is not very scientific but it is effective.

Hi Dludlu,

The dimension's Excel file is often open in the background in the Excel interface, so if you unhide it and then close it, it should help.
