Parameter Panel Vs. Prompt

I am using VS2010 and Crystal Reports addon in a winforms app.

I am trying to provide a drop-down list for the user in the parameter panel instead of having that Advance Parameter Dialog box open up. I would rather just have the drop-down on the CrystalReportsViewer screen instead of having them open yet another dialog box. Then they could choose off the list and click Accept and the report would refilter. I can get my drop-down list values (coming from a database field) to come up in the Advanced Dialog box, but not in the parameter panel. The parameter panel is just a plain text box with the words "Label Reports:" when report first opens up until they enter a value.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Stacy

    Hello Stacy

It is possible, but you will have to construct the form with the drop down your self, get the user to select what they want, capture the user input and then pass that to the report engine. For ideas on how to pass parameters to the engine see the sample apps here. The app csharp_win_paramengine.zip would be a good one to look at, but there are others listed on the sample app page.
