It seems you are trying to create a production order manually using CO01 , as the material is make is a configurable material and its a MTO (make to order ) scenario while creating production order you need to specify sales order number and configuration.

ASs you are dealing with MTO create production order by running MRP for sales order , you will get plan order , convert this plan order into production order, during this process there wil be link between sales order configuration and production order and you dont need to specify configuration again.

    Check and reply.

    • well my friend dont get "rid" of configuration pop up otherwise you will have production order without a configuration. 😊

instead try to create new order as a child or dependent of parent order so that it will carry the CUOBJ from parent production order or sales order.

It will solve your issue as well as it wil be correct technical solution.
