DMTS TO LMTS in Oracle 11g with SAP ERP 6 EHP5

Dear All,

We are planing to do Table space migration(DMTS TO LMTS) for our SAP Envurment.

Please can any one give me the time line and required sap notes to refer.

I m worrying about the duration of the project.In my company given the time line within days to close the project.

Our Environment:

OS:                    Win 2008

Application:     ERP6 EHP5

Database:       Oracle 11G

DB SIZE  :        2.2 TB

Note:

I have refereed sap scn blogs.Still I m struggling in this task.Why because we have lot of data files and DB size is  2.2 TB.

Please help and guide me to do this migration project .who had performed this migration activities(DMTS to LMTS).

Hi,

We performed this migration for couple of our systems but not as separate activity.

This can be merged with some other activity like storage migration, ACO enablement, export/import etc.

Number of sapdata files doesn't matter in this migration because target is your option.

First you have to create new TS (*_NEW or something) - By default Oracle creates LMTS tablespaces (no need of additional command, just tscreate will do that)

Migrate your data from old to new using brspace (here you can merge ACO enablement etc. by using -C option)

Delete old tablespace once everything is moved to new TS

Rename tablespace (*_NEW) to old one
