Chart Expet: Available Fields

I am using Crystal Reports 2011. I want to insert a very simple bar chart. Available Fields on Data Tab do not include two formulas that are in the Report Footer, which I want to graph. These two formulas, added together = 100 percent of the items considered in this report. Basically items resolved under a certain amount of time and items resolved over that time. I have a counter that counts in each catagory, a shared numbervar for under and one for over; this is what I want to put into a bar chart. (not that I want to, but management does)

I've read a lot about this, that you cannot use certain formulas to chart, but have yet to find a simple solution or workaround. Please help.
