Descriptive label instead of "Workcenter Application" in tab list of sessions

Hi all.

Just started to test using NWBC (4.0) together with PPM (5.0) and like that there is a better "control" of the sessions opened (as they are shown as tabs) compared to as separate windows when using the html NWBC.

At the moment however all the tabs (sessions) that get created have the label "Workcenter Application" which make it hard to distinguish between them.

Is there a way of showing a descriptive label on the tabs instead?

New to this UI so please bear with me if there is an obvious answer.

Thanks / Anders

Hi again.

A further observation connected to this is that you can choose to "pin" the sessions/tab by rightclicking and choosing Pin>Tab.

When logging in the next time the "pinned tab" do have a descriptive label.  This is however lost upon clicking it as you then again get the label "Workcenter Application" meaning that you again after a while have a couple of tabs which are hard to separate.

Is there a way of always showing a functional description (example "Portfolio Initiatives") instead of "Work Center Application" for the tabs representing "sessions"?

Dear Anders,

The title to be shown can be set/modified directly in the WebDynpro Application itself.

HI Melinda.

Thanks for the feedback.  Sorry for taking time to reply.

An example of what I looked at is the SAP made WebDynpro Application (inm_workcenter_app) which has the description "Work Center Application.

The same application provides a dashboard for different objects depending on the parameter IV_OBJ_TYPE_R so it seems hard to set a descriptive title in the application itself.

What seemed strange to me when testing this was that it sometimes was possible to get a descriptive title and sometimes (most often) not.

Please compare with the example above from pinning a session to a tab via pin>tab.
