Closing a BPM/UI5 Task window

Dear Experts,

We have implemented a UI5 execution UI based on BPM OData: Implementing a Basic Custom Task Execution UI Two way data binding and completing task works fine. But I couldn't find a way to close the window after finishing the task. As you know this happens WD Java execution UIs automatically after the complete event is called. With UI5 I have tried various .close() and .destroy() combinations and none of them worked. I could only destroy the view (this.getView().destroy();) which is not closing the window. I couldn't find anything in the SDK until now. The solution we need should be working for both:

I would appreciate any help.

Regards,

Koray

    After a little bit further trial error I found following solutions:

    • For UWL / WD Java:
      • window.top.close();
    • For bpminbox
      • parent.document.getElementById("oInbox--taskExecUI-close").click();

    Hi Koray,

    For closing a window, you can go for JavaScript methods like,

    location.wndow.close() or window.close()
