SAP xMII:BLS not opening on Windows XP sp3

Hello Folks,

I have been facing once strange issue over the last couple of months.

I have been working on SAP xMII 11.5 version and sometimes it happens that BLS(Business Logic Services) doesnt open on my machine.There are people who are still using the similar criteria and able to open BLS on their respective system.

OS      - Windows XP SP3

JRE     - Java 6 update 35

Please comment if you have faced this type of issue and what were the steps to resolve this starnge problem.

Hi Muddasar,

This may be due to java cache.

Can you try after clearing java cache in java control panel(Temporary Internet files).

Also, you can check on session timeout.

Hi Padma,

Thanks for the valuable pointers.

I have deleted the temporary internet files and  after that atleast I could see the screen where it said 'downloading.....'.

But after that it never appeared.

Can you please tell me more about how I can increase/descrease the session time out?

You should be able to see Session timeout parameter under System Administrator.

I guess below path should work

C:\Lighthammer\Illuminator\SysConf\System.xml

Is it only sometimes BLS wont open?

Can you tell me whether your OS is 32 bit or 64 bit?

You should load the proper java version based on your system configuration.

Try to uninstall Java 6 and load java version 5 and update 6 if 32 bit OS.
