CN41n Structure report is slow

Hi experts,

When i run the structure report of PS module - CN41n for a project (project profile A)it is so slow that a run time dump saying "Timed out....." is occurring.

However, if i run the report for another project (Project profile B) it works Good.

what could be the possible reasons for this behavior and what parameters should be checked to resolve.

Hi Imran,

Check the paramater rdisp/max_wprun_time. Go to RZ11 and enter the parameter. Then go to change value. By default it must have been set as 600 seconds. change that to 3600 seconds or so in new value and save it.

Try this if it works and lets also wait for other experts to comment on this.

Hi,

By changing the default parameter to 3600 seconds means ONE hour. that's not good practice rather you can see that to minimize the input selection values.

Check why profile B is taking lesser time than Profile A. Is your profile A having more objects to fetch in to report like, actual time, cost, production, budget etc.

Dear Imran,

Execution of report depends on data. If you your data is huge then its better you run in background or split your data. Or better contact your Basis Team so they will increase run time.

you can view time allocated to work process in "rdisp/max_wprun_time" . this is parameter to see the time limits for work process.
