Future improvement for "Selection Option Variable" in CR4E..?

From Ingo's previous presentations, it is clear that in 4.0/4.1 there is "Limited Support" for using SAP Selection Option Variable type as a prompt in Crystal Reports for Enterprise.

Our current work-around is to remove that specific SAP Variable type from our Queries if we intend to deliver the content via CR4E.

Does anyone have any idea if FULL support for SAP Selection Option Variable type is on the Roadmap for Crystal Reports for Enterprise...?

Trying to determine what our long-term plan should be for FORMATTED reports where we would like to use this more "flexible" type of variable.

The latest Crystal roadmap https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000395912012D.pdf hints at improved BW / ECC integration for Crystal in future innovations, this feature is not specifically stated

In the meantime I would add an idea to Idea Place for BI/BW integration SAP BO BI Integration with SAP NetWeaver BW: Ideas

Ingo already had a SAP Idea for this feature in "general" from 2011.

We will see if he wants a stand-alone idea for this in CR4E, or just as part of the existing idea.
