Upgrade to TM 9.0

Hi TM experts,

we are currently running TM8.0 and are thinking about upgrading it to version 9.

Do you know where can we find documentation for this upgrade?

Any idea on known technical issues during the upgrade? OSS notes needed?

Thanks a lot in advance.

we faced few issues related to process-mandatory fields in FWO. ( traffic direction, mode etc, with out maintaining these fields you can save but you cannot settle or document will not be complete)

if you had used inco-terms TM8.0 for information purpose in the FWO,you need to be careful , Inco-terms are respected in 9.0

Also we faced few issues with charge calculation you need to run few XPRA reports to convert data ( i guess this should be part of your upgrade process)

few notes which we implemented: 1897457, 1856931

    regards

    Hello Inigo,

Check the PAM (product avalability matrix) and the installation / upgrade documentation n SAP Market Place.

    Kind Regards, Marcelo Lauria

    Hi Inigo

There are some documents that are very useful:

    1. Upgrade Master Guide. Go to: help.sap.com > SAP Business Suite > SAP Transportation Management > Transportation Management 9.0 > Upgrade Master Guide.

    2. SAP Note: "1678996".

    Possible issues:

    - The BO: "/SCMTMS/VEHICLE_REOURCE" is changed, so if you have e.g. conditions on this BO there's a change they will not work anymore.

    - There are new (mandatory) field in the FWO (e.q. traffic direction, movement type, etc). If you have historical documents they should be converted with new values. There's no standard SAP report (for now).

    - A lot of Web Dynpro's have become obsolete. There are new Web Dynpro's delivered by SAP but the FPM configuration have to be redone.

    Good luck!

    Regards

    Maarten
