0BBP_SC installation

Hi All,

I have installed the business content for 0BBP_SC and related transformations,info sources.

I have got two transformations

TRCS 0BBP_SC_TD_1 -> ODSO 0BBP_SC

0BBP_SC 0BBP_SC_TD_1

So now my question is that Do i need to use these both transformations?

In general we will create a transformation from data source with the help of info source and we will delete that info source.

For this scenario why there was two info sources and already also transformations were created from info sources to dso directly.

I have created the DTP and loaded the data successfully as well.

So how can i remove these info sources now and if i remove the info sources then existing transformation will also be deleted.

Please suggest that do I need to create any transformation from datasource and delete these infosources or else shall i go ahead with the exisitng mappings from infosource to the DSO(TRCS is the tannsformation name and not starts with TRFN)

Hi,

Assuming as your on bw 7.x. if yes then you just use transformations RSDS versions.

Once you replicate source data source to bw side, you can migrate to 7.x by using tx - RSDS.

from business content you can install DSO and transformations(downwards from data source to your DSO). that will be clear.

no need to install info source form content if you have transformations for the same data source.

I will delete the 3.x flow for sure.

But another question is here.

Datasource to infosoure there is TR

and Infsource to DSO another TR

so do we need to have two TR's in place??

Shall i delete the TR from infosource to DSO and keep the TR from Datasource to DSO?

Have you checked what's in those transformations (please try to avoid abbreviations... TR to me would actually mean Transfer Rule)?

I wouldn't just delete stuff without being sure it's fine to do so.
