Need to create Relational connection in information design tool to BW system

Hello Experts,

I am trying to create a relational connection from information design tool to our BW system but i am not able to create that because of error

com.sap.connectivity.cs.java.drivers.DBDError: [Data Federator Driver] [Server] [Connector 'testSourceConnection1391576148271'] An error occurred while trying to ping the server: Could not start JCo Server. See the trace log file 'dev_jco_rfc.trc' for more details.

i am not able to create JCO connection at all... Can anyone suggest me how to create relational connection to BW system...

i have already checked the link  BW With RFC JCO Connections In Information Design Tool - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - S...

in that they have mentioned Go to the Connector Configuration tab, right click the JCO connection, select create configuration

but in data federator tool i am not able to find JCO connection tab...

So please suggest me how to do this...

Hi deepak,

Thanks for prompt reply.

BUt in that 5 th point they told to create relational connection..

i have tried the same but i am getting error with JCO connection.

So please let me know how to create JCO conenction.

Hi Karthik,

Are you able to follow the steps as described below

5. In the Repository Objects pane insert a New Relational Connection by clicking the dropdown arrow next to the "+" and selecting Insert Relational Connection

6. Select SAP -> SAP Netweaver BW -> SAP Java Connection

Let me know the issue here.

Hi deepak,

I did 5 and 6 th steps.

after 6th step i have given credentials to login to my BW system and i am doing test connection at that time i am getting JCO server error which i attached screen shot.

Please suggest.

i tried to check trace file... but i am not able to find it in my system.

Can you please specify where will it resides.

Hi,

You should be able to locate it at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\SAPBusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\dev_jbo_rfc.trc
