ALV - "layout not found" error for a batch job using non-personnel user id

Hi experts,

I know this might be simple but I could not get an answer by search in the SCN community.

I have a wierd problem in production system. A report having ALV output is run in background with variant having a layout which is already defined. The job is run by a non-personnel user id. The job terminates with an error saying "No layouts found".

The same job when run by a personel user id is able to execute without any issue. This for same variant having same layout.

Please note the layout used is 'non-user specific' and it starts with '/'. So I dont find any reason why this job is failing stating layout not found.

Experts can you please provide your suggestions or input on the same.
