Hi,

Could you please help how can I Input this description so that I can carry out an excel upload from file in the planning transaction KP06?

Best regards,

HI,

isnt it possible to ignore the old/missing file descripiton and save the new one? The same way as you did it the first time?

Hi,

No, it is not possible te save any description.

I didn't do anything first time.

I just created a new planning layout (by copying the layout 1-101 using the Transaction KP65) and attached the newly created layout to planner profile SAPALL. I also marked "Integrated Excel" Checkbox in this new layout becdause it should be for importing planning data from Excel. However the file description is needed in the planning layout (KP34) for importing the files but I can not enter any description there. I can only save the planner profile without the file description. The file description is also not generated authomatically.

HI,

go to KP34, navigate down to "default parameters", enter default parameters (don't save them), tick the overview button (F5) => the message "File descripiton XYZ has been generated" should appear. A MS Excel spreadsheet is opened, quit the message with YES.

Now tick the button "save file description" and "save excel layout". After that click the button "generic file" enter a file name (eg XYZ*.txt). The "*" is a variable for your later uploaded file extension (eg XYZ1, XYZ2, XYZ3,...).

No go back without saving plan data, leave the selection screen also without saving anything, when you are back to KP34 / default parameters save the entry (on the right side of the planning layout the file description will appear now).

Good luck, BR Christian
