Bods Server Having issues accessing the flat file

Hi All,

I just installed a new server on the vm . When I try to run the job on a new server it says check its path and permissions . The flat file is in the shared drive . I just logged on to the server and was able to access the drive , copy and delete the file . Even the user has access to the shared drive who is trying to run the job  . Can you please help me how to resolve this issue .

Hi,

The file should be in the same place where the Job server is.

Are you using a system account or user id?

The file is in the Network Drive where we can access from the Job Server . I am using a system account .

Could you copy the file from network drive into your desktop and see if that works?

Yes. If I copy on to the desktop it works. But If I leave it in the network drive it doesn't work .

Thats because your job server will work on the system not on the network drive. You could do one thing, in the services.msc open business objects data services and change the login user and password to your current user login and password from system. Also whats the option you selected in the file format editor - local or jobserver
