n error occurred while processing option SAP Solution Manager 7.1 Support Release 1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Instance SD1/DVEBMGS00 reached state SHUTDOWN after having state STARTING. Giving up.). You can now:

Choose Retry to repeat the current step.

Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.

Stop the option and continue with it later.

Terminate sapinst.

Stop SAP.

Start database, listener and SAP manually.

Restart sapinst.

try to start the system manually before that make sure you database is up. Logon as SD1adm and execute startsap.

I would suggest to paste the logs from /usr/sap/SD1/DVEBMGS00/work

dev_disp

dev_ms

dev_w0

Hi Sunil/All,

I have started the db and listener and I checked R3trans -d is working  fine but when I give a retry to this installation from this step its disconnecting the ms server at 3900 port and again while starting the ms server on port 3900 its failing. While in /etc/services sapmsSD1 port is 3600 defined so why its starting at 3900.

Thanks,

Sachin

the J2ee_ms port is 39xx.. what is your SCS instance number and the SD1 instance number, you can in /usr/sap/SD1

paste below logs from usr\sap\SD1\DV*\work\ (this is abap instance)

dev_ms, dev_disp, dev_w0

paste below logs from usr\sap\SD1\SC*\work\ (this is your java instance)

dev_ms
