Date prompt is substracting 1 hour

Hi,

I need little advice from you.

After updating from 4.0 SP6 Patch 5 to 4.1 SP2, our date prompt is not working properly. This happens only when viewing webi report in BI launch pad.

When I open report and select one date from calendar (e.g. 1/15/2014 12:00:00 AM), it returns value substracted by 1 hour (1/15/2014 11:00:00 AM). I know, Prague/Czech rep. is GMT+1, it explains 1 hour difference. Using different locale (CZECH), behavior is similar, but not same.

• English locale, value set 1/15/2014 12:00:00 AM, value returned 1/15/2014 11:00:00 AM
• Czech locale, value set 15.01.2014 00:00:00, value returned 14.01.2014 23:00:00

I tried to play with all locale settings, but nothing helped.

Any idea how to get right values?

Hi Tomas,

The issue seems related to KBA:

1930605 - BI4.1 - The time stamp in the prompt is changing every
time on refreshing the report in HT...

Please check.

it is exactly same problem. Workaround mentioned in KBA 1930605 is good enough for a while. But i will have to install patch 2, because at this moment it is swaping AM and PM in english locale.

Interesting issue. Did you play with preferred viewing locale in launchpad preferences ?

Yes, I tried every possible combination of locale settings.

Did you check:

1931911 - While scheduling Web Intelligence reports prompt value changes to a day back automatically...

This issue looks similar. Can you check by installing latest SP/Patch available for BO4.1?

Yes, it looks similar, but I am not scheduling reports and resolution for this note is: Issue is not reproducible in BI4.1 SP01 Patch2 and BI4.1 SP02. There is patch 2 for SP2, but there is nothing about date prompts in list of fixed things for this patch.

Then I think you need to report this to SAP by raising one incident in Service Marketplace.
