Hi,

When you change the PO which is comning from external environmnet , the recheck before save recognizes that this PO comes for release parameters in the system and trigering release for block . Hope so that the version will do nothing for release rather it will track the changes under the version number .

Hi,

The release strategy is only reset when there is a value change which lead to a high TOTAL NET VALUE.

Please refer the note: 1961482 - Reset release strategy when version number is set as Characteristic in Customizing

1961585 - Release strategy is not triggered when Version number is set as a Characteristic

If your question is different, please elaborate.

Hi AKPT,

In my case issue is PO is transfered from another system to SAP at that time there was seems to be no release strategy. But after change in PO for delivery date etc. not related to value. release strategy is getting hit.

How I can avoid triggering release strategy in this situation.

Hi,

In this case, you may test with release indicator changeability 2 ( Changeable, no new determination of strategy). But I'm not sure about it. You may test the suggestion.

hI,

The version management is used for the below purpose .

In this step, you set up the version management facility for external purchasing documents.

For a combination of purchasing organization, document category, and document type, you can:

  • Activate version management
If version management is active, changes to a purchasing document are managed in versions.
  • Define field selection for versions
You can specify the attributes certain fields of the version are to have: mandatory entry, optional entry, display only, field suppressed.

And please check your release paraments and if there is a change in the release parameters , system will block the PO again asking for a release again .
