Consolidation on a new top node

Hi BPC experts!

I have a customer where a new ownership structure has been implemented during their
fiscal year. The change is that a holding company has been added on top of the
existing structure.

The challenge is that the customer only wants to see the added value during new
ownership structure, when looking at the new consolidation group, but when they
look at the existing consolidation group it’s the accumulated figures. This is
of course for all the accounts in PL.

For example the old consolidation group is called Group (OLD) and the new top node in the
consolidation group is called Group (NEW). This new ownership structure is
implemented in November and their normal fiscal year is from January to
December.

The way the customer would like to see the numbers in the PL, is like this:

Revenue                                        October                                         November

Group (OLD)                                    100                                                    110

Group (NEW)                                   N/A                                                     10

Is there a way to make this by standard properties (FIRST_CONS_DATE??) or must you write a
custom code for this.

Regards,

Allan

Hi Allan,

you can achieve this automatically if Group (OLD)  is parent of Group (NEW) or you have to write some script logic statements e.g. in the default logic.
