Hi,
we have a BeX7-workbook, where users can set filters for characteristics via the normal "select filter values ...". If the list of filter values exceeds the space to display all of them, excel just shows "filter value1, filter value text1; filter value 2, filter value text 2 ...". In BeX3.5 there was an option to show all the filter values (right click on the list -> "show entire filter value"). This is not available in BeX7.
Is there a similar function in BeX7 to show all the selected filter values / texts within a workbook?
Thanks!
Holger
Hi Holger,
is there not enough space next to you filter item? maybe you should move the item to an area in excel where ther is enough space.
Or try the navigation pane instead of the filter, there is a tab named "Größe" with several options.

Hi Holger,
how many companies do you have in maximum?
If it is up to 100, you could work with a checkbox item.
then all companies are listed, the user can set the filter by right mous click in the query or by clicking the checkbox and they see which ones are checked.
might be a nice workaround.

Hi Cornelia,
thanks for the workaround, but we have more than 100 companies and a checkbox doesn´t work.
Meanwhile i also found the official answer from SAP in note 1754753:
"If multiple selections are done for a characteristic it can happens that not all filter values are shown. The filter values are displayed in one cell as a text string. Please note that this string has a maximal length of 100 characters. If the string is longer then it is cut and "..." is added at the end. This maximal length cannot be increased."
Seems it´s just not working in BeX7.0 like it used to in BeX3.5.
Thanks.
Holger
The behavior of your Filter values depends up on the usage of that infobject in Global Filter pane or in Default Values pane in Query definition. If you had put in default values pane, you can very well fiddle with filter values in BEx 7.0 as well.
You can use "Remove Filter" to display data for all values in the report on the fly.
