two profit centers for document number

Hi All,

In tcode FBL5, I have two line Items. For one of the Document number, it is showing two different Profit centers for the same Cost centers. The Doc. No should show the same Profit centers. Where are these Profit centers maintained for the Document numbers?

Hi,

the profit center is taken from the cost center master data but you can

• manually set another profit center for the line item
• substitute a different profit center (substitution rule...)

Check which option has happened in your case.

Hi Haritha

Check if Cost Centers are getting statistical posting, whereas there are other real cost objects (Internal Order, WBS Element etc) which are assigned to different profit centers

Also it would be helpful if you please share the screenshot (FB03) for better understanding
