Archivelink: background print of image (SAP rel 4.6c)

Hi All

We currently use standard SAP archivelink to store scanned vendor invoice images (which can be displayed from the display of the relevant FI document). We are running R3 4.6c. These images have been stored as TIF files.

We now have a <u>requirement to background print these invoices</u> - an invoice image to be printed together (at the same time) with a custom SMARTFORM which is currently being used.

I have looked at the various ARCHIVOBJ* function modules to see if firstly a selected archivelink file (TIF image) can be transferred to the application server. No joy so far - <u>everything appears to revolve around the presentation server</u> (3rd party application to view/print).

Assuming the file can be transferred from the content server to application server, would need to print this, directly behind a smartform.

<b>Help!</b> Please could someone shed some light on the above issue!

Thank you

Paul
