Subcontracting quality inspection

Dear All

I have subcontracting by- product scenario, For ex my main material is A and by product material B

when i am doing the pre Good receipt 103 mov type only main material is come in block stock after that when i am doing the quality inspection system gives the error

Of the required quantity of material B, 10 KG remain(s) open

kindly guides me, how to map the scenario

If I understand the question you are expecting to receive both the main material and by-product from the sub-contractor.

In addition, it looks like you are expecting the by-product to be automatically received when the main product is received.

Is that correct?  Because several of the folks here are confused by your question.

Craig is right. I want to by-product to be automatically received when the main product is received with inspection lot for both main as well as by-product.

As per my concern automatic by product receipt is not possible so

Currently, we are doing the 542 mov type for by-product received  then again we transfer to quality by using 322 mov type

Basically i want to quality for by product when we receive from vendor using 542 mov.

I try to create the Z movement type but its not work

Yes.. you wouldn't normally be able to do that automatically.  By-product is never automatic.

But you might be able to program the system to do that for you.  For instance, when the inspection lot is created for the main product, there are several user exit's that might be able to be used to trigger code to do the by-product receipt for you.  It could be based on the lot qty of the main product received and some calculation if you know that.  Or maybe some conversion factor you store in a material class characteristic. 

You could also maybe trigger it by a followup action when the UD is made.

We are not clear about you problem. Please explain in detials

As par far as i able to understand while receiving the sub contract material, header material goes into stock and item material gets consumed. So movement type for receiving header material is 101 (103 and 105) so lot is generated as these movement types are assigned to lot origin and movement type 543 get hit when item materials gets consumed  and in sap standard no lot origin is assigned to 543 movement type so lot will not be generated.

i am doing sub- contracting scenario with by product

For ex My main material is A which is sending to sub contract  when we receive the material (Mov type 103) its goes to block stock with inspection lot (By product till not show any where) but when i am doing quality of A material and doing the UD mov type 105 is append and for by product system generate automatic batch no also material show vendor stock.

I want when i am doing the 103 mov type by product also come in block stock with inspection lot

Hi,

When the subcontracting material is received normally 101 movement is used for GR...I am not sure why you are using 103 movement instead of 101 mov......

If you use 101 mov...then if the corresponding inspection type is used material goes to quality......
