Hi,
I have a Scenario where I use a Sender sFTP Adapter. Customer requirement is to have all alerts/Errors reported via Alert Rule (Email).
The Problem is that in Alert Rule Configuration under Extended -> Message Statuses there is no sFTP Adapter available.
Is there a possibility to generate alerts for sFTP Adapter Errors, for example Connection Problems or processing Errors?
Thanks for help in advance

Hi Habib - I think the channel error should hanlde the SFTP adapter failure notifications.
However if i go with the the default alert rule description, then it should definetly handle them,
"This default rule catches all exceptions not caught by other rules"

Hi Hareesh,
that was exactly what I thought would happen... but I have an alert rule for all my components, Services and Scenarios involved in the Transfer. on the Extended tab all Options are ticked.
Mapping Errors for example are reported correctly. also Errors in Soap Adapter. but sFTP Adapter Errors are missing in my mail inbox...
Hi,
default rule is the one helping... I got in contact with SAP and with SPS 3 for sFTP adapter the "normal" alert rule also will catch sFTP alert. Until then default alert rule has to be used.
Thanks!
Kind regards
Habib

Hello,
Just to cross check - Try to create a new alert rule from pimon and check if SFTP is getting reflected under Message Statuses tab?
Thanks
