Drop-ship related for Make to Order production

Hi SAP Gurus,

My Client is having a requirement which for which I am struggling to find a SAP Standard Solution.

The Scenario is Drop-ship related for Make to Order production.

In this Scenario, lets assume that a serialized product is getting manufactured based on the sales order created as per a customer demand.

After the product is ready,the PGI is done from the sales order and the product is shipped to the port of the customer.

But due to customers inability to pay the amount, the product is finally delivered to a different customer from the port directly.

Now, how can I map this scenario in SAP. The PGI can't be reversed as my company don't want to incur loss of reshipping back the product.

Does any attribute can be added on to the product during Manufacturing or at the product level which will enable me to track the product and it's final delivery to the customer.

Please tell me how can this be achieved in SAP.

Do you mean, without creating Sales order you are delivering to other customer ?

Can you give some more information on how you are delivering to other customer

Thanks for the reply.

It is Make-to-Order scenario, the product is serialized and in-house manufactured. The delivery and PGI are done from the order stand point.The product is shipped via water and it reaches the port.

Now, the delivery has to happen to the customer from port. However due to Customer's inability for payment, the product is finally shipped to a different customer from the port. The Delivery and PGI can't be reversed as the company will incur heavy loss for that.

So, how the product can be linked to the new customer.

Are there any attributes which we can add in the product from Manufacturing stand point or from the Order Management side something has to be done to tag the product to the new customer?
