Attachment "from template" greyed out


When trying to add attachments to a transaction in CRM 7.0 Web UI, the box "from template" is greyed out. I see people saying that for this box to be active, you need to first upload a template. I have tried that with no luck. Both with and without macros. The templates are there for sure as I am able to search for them in the temple designer after I have created them. Still, the box i greyed out. Crm_oi in SICF in SAP CRM is also activated.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done? It is maybe worth mentioning that this issue is found during a upgrade from CRM 5.0 to CRM 7 ehp2.
