DP to SNP release forecast with negative values

Hi Gurus,

I am trying to release delta value forecast changes in DP to SNP.

Example :

SNP has forecast

             1          2       3        4          5        6

FCST:  100     200     400     500     600     700

Forecast in DP has changed for the 4th week where user wanted to produce only 200 instead of 500

I have a delta key figure which makes difference between initial released values

In DP delta KF:

                         1     2     3     4     5     6

Delta FCST                          -300

In SNP I wanted to see forecast in 4th week as 200

How can i do this. Please it will be helpful if anyone can help.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Rajesh

Hello Rajesh

The workaround would be -

You can delete the forecast in SNP by using Tcode. /n/SAPAPO/RLCDEL OR    going to Tcode /n/SAPAPO/RRP3 selecting particular "FC req." and then deleting it from there.

Once forecast in SNP is deleted, you can release forecast to SNP(using /SAPAPO/MC90) by specifying specific date range(Week#4) for that Product and Location Combination.

Hope this will help.

Thank you

Hi Satish,

We have multiple DP planning areas based on countries. Lets say US is shipping directly to Mexico customer and source location of the product is US and now we need to release to on SNP. Please see that demand will be there in US DP planning area and also Mexico planning area.

I am fine getting the full release to SNP with US and Mexico planning are with ADD function and i create a process chain.

My question will be ADHOC release. Can any one let me know how we can handle this scenario.

How other clients handle it.

Do we have permanent solution to fix this type of issue?

It will be helpful

Thanks & Regards,

Rajesh

Hello Rajesh

Since you have three different DP planning areas for three different regions. I assume all these planning areas has common MPOS.

Based on above,  I suggest you to create another planning area(lets refer that as Release Planning Area) having just your Final Forecast Key Figure.

Whenever you want to release the forecast to SNP, you need to do following.

1. Using /SAPAPO/TSCOPY you need to copy data from

Region#1 to Release PA,

Region#2 to Release PA and

Region#3 to Release PA

2. Once above step is done, Your Final Forecast Key figure will have forecast data from all three regions.

3. Release the Final Forecast from Release PA into SNP.

You can create process chain having above steps and run whenever required.

Hope this will help.

Thank you

Hi Rajesh

I suggest that you update total forecast (the KF that you release to SNP) to 200 using a simple macro that adds intial forecast with Delta changes. Then you relase this KF where you have 200 for week 4 and it should get overwritten in SNP. So you would see 200 in SNP Planning Book for week 4.

Thanks,

Hi Prasun,

Thanks for the response. We have multiple DP planning areas

1. US DP planning area , --Different users

2. Mexico DP planning area, ---Different users

3. Europe DP planning area --Different users

What will the process in releasing adhoc release to One SNP?

Adhoc release:

FCST: 4th week initially released is 200 by US

Delta US add: 100

Delta Mexico add: 100

Adhoc Europe add: 100

If i wanted to send less forecast all together then what will be the approach?

Please let me know if any one of you working on this type of scenarios

Thanks  in advance

Regards,

Rajesh
