Hi Susmita,
Here before the day type selection rule you must understand the various day types blank - work/paid,1- Off/paid,2-Off/unpaid,3- Off/special day.
Now here i will take one sample rule and will explain ,
01 | 1 1111111 | 1 1111111 | 1 1111111 |
D.ty.wkdy - Here as you see in the rule if its a weekday and if its not a public holiday and half day public holiday then the day type is blank in the sense it means work/paid and in other case its 1 (Off/paid) if its full day public holiday and also in case of public holiday class is 3 - 9.
D.ty.Sat , D.ty.Sun. - The above mentioned explanation is also applicable if public holiday falls on Saturday and Sunday.
This day type rule is been attached to work schedule rule in the table V_T508A.

Hi Susmitha,
In the above screen shot, the selection rule will integrate the Day types with Public Holiday classes.
the numbers which you are entering in the above screen shot are the day types and we should assume there are public holiday class 0 is at the position 1 and holiday class 1 at position 2 ..
so in the day type rule 01 in above screen shot, you have entered day type blank for public holiday class 0 and 1 for public holiday class 1,2,3 and blank for remaining Public holiday classes.
I hope this will clarifies your doubt.
Thanks,
Srikanth.
