Approval process not working

The Approver  is trying to approve the expense report,.When clicked on "approve" button

this takes the approver to the initial screen but does not change the status.

Kindly Suggest why the Expense reports are not moving to the next level.

Hi Manasa,

what is exactly happening?

  • Does the approval task disappear from the inbox of the approver, but the status does not change? This can happen, if there are additional approvers involved and they need to approve afterwards.
  • You indicate that the expense reports do not move to the "next level", this could mean that there are additional approvers invlved in the next steps. But they do not get the approval tasks into their inbox? This could indicate that you have an unassigned approval task after the initial approver approved the first time and the status did no change.
  • If the approver approves and the approval task is still in the inbox of the approver, it could be that the same user is also the approver for the next step and what (s)he sees, is simply the approval task of the next step. In this case the approver has to approve again. If this is not the case and the approval task is still visible, please open up an incident and experts will check.
