Replication Contact Person from CRM to ECC error

I did customization as per the link below ,

Contact person replication from SAP CRM to SAP ECC - CRM - SCN Wiki

but got error as below,

my query is..I am trying to replicate Contact Person from CRM to ECC, so here why do i get error related VEND_MAIN related Function Module,

I come to know, while creating and assigning CP to Soldtoparty , bupa_main, bupa_rel, vend_main Bdocs are generated in back, but my requirement is only to replicate CP..not Vendor..

Please can anyone clarify my doubt.

3, Could anyone also answer the below scenarios are possible or not?

Prospect (Created in CRM & replicated to ECC so it can converted into Soldtoparty in ECC)

CRM -> ECC

Sold-to-Party   (converted Soldtoparty is replicated to CRM).

ECC -> CRM

Contact Person(assigned to replicated ECC's Soldtoparty)

CRM -> ECC.

Hi David,

Yes it can be achieved, you just need to map the account group in PIDE settings.

Hi Farooqi,

I have maintained account groups for all except contact person replication(defined number ranges)

Already I had been maintained same number ranges fpr CP as you mentioned, Just for try, I also aborted and ran all initial customizing downloads once then later ran customer_rel with filtering(KNVK-PARNR = 0) but as mentioned above then again I was getting the same SMQ1 queue error stating error in VEND_MAIN related Function Module.

1. Why were we getting Vend_Main related FM error in SMQ1 for CP replication?.

2. Is there any standard config.document available for CP replication from CRM to ECC.?

I didn't get any dump in ST22.

Adding to my early query I have got one more query to ask

actually I maintained Contact Person Number ranges and grouping here below Customization Path

But why do we maintain this below customizing step and where can we see its reflection in business process level.

I have a doubt that should we use the above customization step only for defining number ranges for contact person in crm? if so ..then I couldnt see this number range in the grouping customizing stepe in F4 help search criteria to assign.

Hi David,

Below are the difference between two number ranges;

Define Number Ranges in SAP Business Partner.

In this activity, you define number ranges for business partners.

The defined number ranges are assigned to groupings in the Define groupings and assign number ranges activity.

Number ranges for business partners are valid throughout a client.

Define Number Ranges in Business Partner Relationships.

For internal administration of BP relationships and BP role definitions an internal number is required from the number range interval "01".

Regarding Maintaining the number ranges for CP we define it in SAP Business Partner option.

Hi David,

May be any of the consultant had mapped it through Vend_Main, it can be possible.

You can find detailed steps in below thread.

You need to maintain the Number range for CP in ECC under Tcode: VPN1.
