Upgrade from 4.0B to ECC 6.0

Hello Experts,

We are planning to hardware migration and upgrade from 4.0B to ECC6.0 system.

Existing system:
SAP: 4.0B
OS: HP-Unix/DB:Oracle 9i.

SAP: ERP 6.0
OS: Windows /DB: Oracle

Our approach is like below

1) Hardware migration from SAP 4.0B [HP-Unix/DB:Oracle 9i] to SAP 4.0B VMware [Windows/oracle]
2) Upgrade from SAP 4.0B to SAP 4.6C
3) Upgrade from SAP 4.6C to SAP 6.0

Please confirm whether above approach is feasible. or any other best approach please let me know.

This process will not be supported as per PAM. As per PAM, 4.0B is supported on window x86_64 only with DB2 9.1. Hardware migration will not be supported first.

You need to plan it out based on supported combination of OS and database. Since, you have not shared source and target DB/OS releases & version. So, it is very hard to suggest.
