how to restrict bex variable in webi intelligence

Hi Experts,

I have used BICS connection to connect BEx query from webi intellligence. In query panel how should restrict the variable content then how to change the name of the content.

For example:

Parent1

parent2

parent3

parent 4

we need only parent1,parent2  then i need to change the name from parent1 to someother

Hi,

You can not change LOV's from BICS in Query.

But You can do it in Web I report Using Input control.

First set Your Filter Values in

And uncheck Set as prompt.

Now Create Variable for your values Like you want Somthing else for "Parent 1".

Create input control for this variable.

(You will have to add that dimension in report , add in vertical table & hide that table ).

Hi,

You cannot modify the LOV's in WebI thru BICS connection. You can do those changes on BW side.
