how to output fqus to CSV file (General Ledger Query)

Hi,

I need to output the General Ledger for 1 year to CSV for auditing purposes. I can't seem to output to CSV file and output to spreadsheet goes way beyond the maximum of 65,000 rows in Excel.

Is there a way send fqus output to a delimited file?

thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

While using the "Save Locally" function, please use the following settings to get the file in CSV Delimited.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jadgannadha,

The "Save Locally" option is "greyed" out, is there a way to "un-grey" it?

thanks

Chris

Hello Chris,

For better understanding I would like to know how were you able to download to Excel, if the "Save Locally" option is "greyed" out.

If either way you are not able to download, check the following Notes:

Note 482256 - PPT: Problems during download to Excel

Note 335697 - Planning book download to Excel

Saving Locally must not be the same as Saving to Excel (although both are agreed: "saving locally") under the hood of SAP system.

I have reviewed the Notes you recommended and I don't believe they will fix the problem.

Hi Jagannadha,

We are trying with the 2nd option.

because

the first option does not provide CSV file, only a text file delimited by "|" (next key above enter key on a standard 101 layout keyboard( sorry don't know the name of this character).

I don't believe will be easy to import this into a database with this strange delimiting character.

Hi Chris,

The only option i see now is to iterate the type of separator and check the "Prepare file for upload at later time" and check.

Hope it helps,

Hi Jagannadha,

This looks to the only solution.

Disappointed that SAP does not output as CSV for reports that can be hundreds MBs or many GBs.

Thanks

Chris
