Automatic Info record from Contract?

Does anybody know if it possible to get SAP to automatically create/change valid inforecords when a Contract is created/ changed?

User exit?

This is because we use Reference and simulation costing and it uses Info records to determine costs for subcontract materials.

Now we would like to use contracts.. so can both exist at the same time? With contracts as master.

    No.. There are no standard way to update info record data from contract..

    Info record is a kind of master data. It can be changed manually. Contract is a purchasing document.

    Its not under any business logic that any purchasing document can change any master data.

    From PO, an info record is created, but this is purchase organization level, If you see the info record, there are no price update in this info record.

    So centrally there are no standard option for change or create info record from contract..

    And as we know an user exit and an badi is just a coding.. so a user exit or a badi can do everything with or without under business logic.

    You can contact with your ABAP team. Share your thinking with them, they will tell you it is possible or not.

    • I suggest read the help correctly...

      If infoUpdate ticked in a purchase document, then info record is created in back ground, But the info record doesn't contain any price or plant-specific purchasing organization data..

      So the info record is not created properly..

      And for existing info record, it will just update the order price history for info record, not in Condition tab.

      But that will be for SA and PO.. Not for contract. If you read the document, in Contract potion it shows "None".

      As I have said which you want, this is not a business logic..

    Hi,

    Why you and your business want automatically create/change valid purchase info record(PIR) when a Contract is created/ changed?

    In general,You can have following options in purchasing:

    Option-1:

    Maintain PIR

    Create Contract

    Keep maintaining source list

    Create PR

    Create PO


    Option-2:

    Create Contract OR Maintain PIR

    Create PR wrt Contract

    Create PR

    Create PO

    The problem is still..

    So does anyone know if there is a relevant exit in ME31K/ME32K?
