Dear All,
My issue has been resolved by changing ip address instead of mail host name.

Check the value in SMTP node --> under supported address type --> under internet --> should be * or the email address or domain you want to allow SAP to send emails.

Hi
In your SMTP Configuration - you have maintained as smtp.xyz.in .
Is this your mail server which you got from the network team . Try a telnet to that location at port 25 .
Secondly , try sending an email to your own address from transaction SBWP and check if the same is coming through . if there is no issue in configuration , you will get an email in your inbox.
Secondly try sending an email to the external address to see if the address itself is valid or not?
From the error description , looks like it is not fine .
Thanks
Rishi
Hope you are testing telnet to exact smtp server which should be the same as the server mentioned in SCOT.
If that's fine then check what is the domain mentioned as DEFAULT DOMAIN. If nothing/worng is mentioned there then you will get this error.
Lastly in SICF activate the SAPConnect service if not activated already.
--By Sunil's post what he means is ask the Exchange server team if they are able to telnet to your host - where the ICM is running - your apps server.
Hope this helps.
