In SCHKZ Feature how do i default this; I can call a pers ara/Sub area.. Under persarea/sub area how do I include  Monday, Tuesday ...?

Hi Anil,

As per my understanding,

Monday - WS Rule "A"

Tuesday - WS Rule"B"

Wednesday - WS  Rule "C"

Thursday - WS Rule "D"

Friday - WS Rule "E"

is NOT work schedule rule - it would be daily work schedule , right ?? and DWS need not be defauled in SCKHZ feature.

Can you please elaborate your issue so that expert can provide you inputs.

Regards

Priya

Anil,

Could you please tell me how you have created work schedule rule for monday, tues.. n so  ?? Seems very strange to me.Sorry but I believe either we are not clear about your requirement or you may need to be more descriptive about your issue.

I am very much clear that SCHKZ will return WS rule only thats why I did doubt on your requirement , Work schedule rule cant be configured for Particular day -

SAP has got standard functionality to create working patters , DWS for daily, PWS for Period then how and why WS rule would be created for days specific. (Correct me Experts if my concept is wrong)

Hi Anil,

I think u might have got confused with Work Schedule Rule and Daily and Periodic Work Schedule.

As u have mentioned in thread u dont need to create rule for each day. So how Time management configuration works:

"Define Daily Work schedules - If breaks are permitted create Breaks and align that to Daily Work schedule.......

Using Daily Work Schedule create work schedules for a period till the same period repeats

Group all employees who have same work schedules and provide ESG Groupings.

Group all regions which uses same calendar based on PS area groupings.

As now we have defined all independent elements needed for an employees Time management in an Organization,

Create a rule using all these independent elements and create a Working schedule  which is called a

Work schedule rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now that Rule is created , use this rule and generate the Work schedule for a period of time either manually or using batch process.

Now we have created a working pattern for employees , through  IT0007 we attach it to employees so that all the details which we have created will inherit by employee.

Since defaulting values will reduce complexity to selection of Work schedule rules(WSR), we can default WSR values using SCHKZ feature.

Hopefully this will help in reducing confusion"

So based on above u cant have a daily, periodic pattern within a day right ......

I hope u have more clarity by now!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks & Regards

Hi Priya,

You are 100% correct as per the standard SAP configurations and SCHKZs purpose is to default the value in IT-7 it doesn't create record in IT-7 infact.

Anil has not framed his query in a proper way in fact. As per my understanding his requirement is not on daily basis it is only weekly / bi-weekly.

We configure DWS and assign them PWS and generate workschedules accordingly. If there are cyclic periods (Rotating Shifts) A,B,C,D,E,F we can do it in PWS itself. If it is not cyclic  (A,B,C,D,E,B,C,E,F) then we can go by a custom program that defaults the return values in SCHKZ feature as per his need and he runs Mass update program to create records in IT-7.

Please correct me If my understanding / suggestion is wrong.

Hi Anil,

I think we don't have such option in SCHKZ feature like day wise WSR return value,

I think whether it is right or wrong i don't know..

Why don't you go with LSMW or BDC...?

Hi Anil,

If your case is as below you need to configure in DWS as suggested by Priya:

Monday: 9 AM - 6 PM

Tuesday -  8 AM - 5 PM

Wednesday - 10 AM - 7 PM

Thursday - 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM

Friday -   10:30 AM - 7:30 PM

And assign it to a workschedule rule (WSR-A).

If you case is below:

1st Week - Workschedule  - A

2nd Week - Workschedule - B

3rd Week - Workschedule - C

4rd Week - Workschedule - D

5th Week - Workschedule - A

4rd Week - Workschedule - B & so on.

you can write a program as per your requirement and assign it in SCHKZ feature.

If not please be more clear about your requirement.

HI Anil,

As said by the fellow members i want to make one point clear here. You are having various daily work schedule A.B,C,D,E so create a period work schedule in a pattern ABCDE in the table  V_T551A.

Then you will be assigning the period work schedule to the work schedule rule in the table  V_T508A.

Then you can default the work schedule rule using the feature SCHKZ.

Hi Anil,

We donot assign different WSRs for each day.

As Priya said above it shoud be DWS(daily work schedule) for each day.

You should make a PWS(Period work schedule) with these DWS for each day in table V_T551A.

And then this PWS is assigned to WSR in table V_T508A.

And then this WSR is generated using Tcode PT01 or Program RPTSHF00

By this way your whole week schedule will repeat automatically.

If your requirement is other than this then please elaborate it.

Thanks & regards

Work Schedule Rules are dependant on Employee Sub-group for Work Schedules, Public Holiday Calendar ID, and Personnel Sub-Area Grouping for Work Schedules, and each WSR can relate to only one Periodic Work Schedule.

It seems that you need to create a Periodic Work Schedule for which Monday has the same Daily Work Schedule used on Mondays in WSR A, for which Tuesday has the same DWS used on Tuesdays in WSR B, and so on.

On his/her IT0007, the employee will be assigned to a WSR, and the IT0007 can't be delimited on a daily basis so that the employee's DWS changes.
