SICF Services not working

Former Member

Hi,

We have a BW 7.4 System, with SQL Server on Windows Data Center 2012.

We all the parameters set in the system, SMICM works fine, http port no has been set.

However, none of the services in SICF are working.

In the dev_icm trace file, I found these messages,

[Thr 2940] Mon Jan 27 18:37:03 2014

[Thr 2940] *** WARNING => IcmJ2EEScheduleFunc: Cannot access "/sap/public/icman" (rc=302)- please check node in TA sicf [icxxman.c    2610]

[Thr 3256] Mon Jan 27 18:38:03 2014

[Thr 3256] *** WARNING => IcmJ2EEScheduleFunc: Cannot access "/sap/public/icman" (rc=302)- please check node in TA sicf [icxxman.c    2610]

[Thr 1084] Mon Jan 27 18:39:03 2014

[Thr 1084] *** WARNING => IcmJ2EEScheduleFunc: Cannot access "/sap/public/icman" (rc=302)- please check node in TA sicf [icxxman.c    2610]

When I try to do a test service, /default_host/sap/bc/ping, the services have been activated.

I get a message,

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Regards,

Vishnu.

Hi Vishnu,

Please check if your client machine is able to resolve hostname to ip address.

Please check host file settings.

Thanks

Hi vishnu,

Then may be it is a network problem.

what messages does DOS command ping returned when running ping <server name>.<domain>

e.g. ping bwserver,companyname.com

Does it return correct IP address?

Henry

Hi Sriram,

The issue is not with compatibility. We have another server, from which the services work perfectly fine.

Hi Vishnu,

Are you using proxy settings in the internet explorer (Tools->Internet Options->Connection-> lan settings)

If yes, hope this is your local SAP server so check is the host name maintained the Bypass proxy list or not in the client from where you are accessing the url

Hi Mrinal,

We don't have any proxy settings setup in IE.

The virtual host default_host needs to be active as well, it is not sufficient to activate all sub nodes.

Hi,

Any suggestions.

Really, not sure what the problem is, ICM trace file says access issue.

RC 302 is actually, redirect issue.

From an SAP point everything is in order.

Hi Vishnu,

Check if SAP note # 1249794 - Call of the involved service for SOAMANAGER fails helps.

further you can check windows event logs to identify issue, it might have restarted instance.

Thanks,

Rupali

Dear Maruthi,

Thanks for your reply, I tried the steps in the link given. Parameters are set properly, ran the transaction code SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL, still the same error.
