SAP Replication Process--Delta only

Hi Experts,

We are currently replicating our ECC Data through SLT to SAP HANA. The issue is that we need to upgrade our Production ECC system next month & business do not want deactivate the triggers.If we deactivate the triggers it will take around 2-3 days for large table to complete the initialisation & then replicate the data.Is there any workaround that we can start the SLT triggers directly from delta?Or do we have any reports that will deactivate & activate the trigers in SLT? Or can we delete the triggers directly from ECC database?

Need your quick help on this.

Hi,

If you can ensure that there is any update/delete/insert during the upgrade, you can delete the trigger and recrate them after the successfull prod. upgrade. If you cannot ensure it, you have to reload.

How to proceed:

Option 1)

a) Stop replication in HANA studio

b) Run youupgrade

- use action M and Q to start only delta recording and replication

Option 2)

Delete trigger and logging tables via TX: LTRC

Option2- Delete trigger and logging tables via TX: LTRC-- If we do this then I think we need to undergo Initialisation process which my business will not allow.Can we replicate directly without initial load if the trigger is again activated in SLT?

Option1- Stop Replication in HANA Studio-- We are not using HANA Studio for replication.We are entirely using SLT for the replication process.

Suppose we use it then in that case also the tables will be dropped from SLT & DB triggers will be deleted.It is same as your Option2.How this approach different from option2 ?Only think is that you are stopping the replication via HANA studio in option1 & via SLT in option2.

Now coming to your Option1) C--the link which you have shared--

use action M and Q to start only delta recording and replication..Comment on this-- How it is possible when there is no table in SLT?The table have been dropped in SLT  when we a) Stop replication in HANA studio.

How it will automatically add the table in SLT & that too in Delta mode?

Sorry for such huge explanations but I have no other option.Request you to help me in this as you are Expert in SLT.
